These are just fruits.

If a farmer wants his tree to bear fruits, he does not focus on the fruits. He focus on the soil, the water and the sun.

Likewise if you want your social media tree to bear fruits (likes, shares, views), focus on the soil, the water and the sun.

THE SOIL represents YOUR CONTENT: are you feeding your followers with high value content?

Is your content useful?
Is your content relatable?
Is your content funny?
Is your content inspiring?

The likes, shares and views you get is simply feedback on the effectiveness of your content.

Will you stop fertilising your plant just because you don't see fruits? Of course not. You will just change the soil.

So likewise, when you are not seeing the results you want, you don't stop creating content. You simply change the content.

THE WATER represents THE ATTENTION you give to your followers.

Are you taking the time to engage with their content?

Are you replying to your comments and private messages?

Are you putting the effort to know their interests, struggles, values and aspirations?

Just as trees thirst for water, human beings thirst for attention.

And when you give your followers attention, they repay you with their attention (likes and views) and trust (shares and sales).

Not getting the fruits you want? Start watering your social media tree!

And finally, THE SUN represents YOUR GENUINE CARE AND CONCERN for your followers.

Do you genuinely care about the welfare of your followers or all you care about is whether they buy what you sell?

Do you sincerely want your followers to succeed and live happy lives or all you can think about is your own success and happiness?

Plants thrive under sunlight.

Likewise, people thrive in an environment of genuine care and concern.

10 followers are just as good as 100 followers or 1000 followers when your heart is in the right place.

But if your heart is not in the right place, no amount of followers will ever satisfy you.

Even if today you only have 10 followers, give your 120% because these are human lives! Every one matters.

And if you honor what little you have right now, more shall be given to you.

So start fertilising, watering and shining where you are planted. It's a matter of time your single tree will grow into a beautiful forest!
