On sales: A new friend a day makes your āno leadā problem goes away. On marketing: People are wired to spot difference so if you want your clients to remember you, donāt tell them how much better you are compared to your competition. Instead, communicate your difference. On branding: At the core of personal branding is self-awareness. Know what makes you attractive to your best clients. Double down on them and you will attract more of your best clients. On relationships: Before you give āfeedbackā on how your partner can improve himself/herself, ask yourself, āWhen was the last time you give him/her a compliment?ā If you havenāt, you are NOT allowed to give feedback. Instead, give a sincere compliment or appreciation. Before you know it, you will lose the urge to give him/her your feedback. Remember, your focus is your reality. Whatever you give attention to, expands. On managing emotions: If you are upset by something, it is not the thing itself that is upsetting you. It is your assessment of the thing. Change your assessment and you will automatically feel better. On choosing work or family: Whenever you have to make a decision of spending an extra hour at work or with your loved ones, ask yourself this question: āTen years from now, which decision will I be grateful I made?ā How you answer this question will determine what decision you should make. On dealing with anxiety or a panic attack: Thought -> Fear -> Anxiety/Panic Sometimes a thought comes and goes so fast we canāt even remember what we were thinking. All we are left feeling is fear. And it is this fear that causes us to feel all the horrible effects of anxiety and panic ā racing heartbeat, fainting spell, sweaty palms and even an urge to leave the space we are in. If this ever happens again, try this technique I learnt from @anxiety_wellbeing It worked for me: (1) Breathe into your tummy the best you can for four seconds. (2) Hold on for seven seconds. You may notice your heart more but thatās okay. You are counteracting the adrenaline. (3) Now breathe out for eight seconds and release the tension. Keep doing this until your mind and body believe you are safe and your heart rate will decrease. Try not to beat yourself up. It is believing this thought for a second that causes fear. But a thought is not always true, isnāt it? Your #1 fan, Eric Feng
