I cried 😠when I read about Chadwick Boseman's sudden death.
He made Black Panther one of the most well liked superheroes in Marvel history.
But here's the sad truth.
We will forget about his death soon enough. Give it a few days, maybe a week or a month and life will continue as per normal.
It is already happening.
I first saw the sad news on my friend's Instagram story feed. She wrote that she was "devastated". But in her next IG story, she was "happy" again because she found some nice looking plants.
It wasn't just her.
It is the world.
Remember how the world mourned when we read about basketball legend Kobe Bryant death? And then we got distracted by the COVID19 pandemic.
Or Taiwanese actor 高以翔 Godfrey Gao death which most of us swiftly forget as we got busy with Christmas celebrations.
Their sudden deaths were all tragedies.
But let me tell you a bigger tragedy.
FORGETTING THAT WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE ONE DAY.
If you know that you have only one year left to live, will you continue living the way you live?
Chances are, you will not.
If you and I only have one year left to live, this is probably what we will be doing with our lives.
We will only spent time with people that we truly care about.
We will pursue our dreams with more conviction and courage.
We will not care so much about other people's opinions of us.
We will follow our hearts and do what makes us happy.
We will get out of the house more and explore the world.
So it's true.
Once you learn how to die, you really do learn how to live.
As we mourn over Chadwick Boseman's death, I like to suggest a way to honor his death and many others before him and after him.
LIVE A GODDAMN GOOD LIFE!
