Read This Post Before You Set Your Goals for 2020!


“Eric, are you still in Ho Chi Minh? If you are, you MUST visit this place. You will LOVE this place. It’s open for another hour. Even if it just for 30 minutes, you should drop by!”


This was the text I got from a close friend of mine who found out that I was in Ho Chi Minh last Sunday through my IG story.


I was thinking to myself.


“WOW…. What’s the fuss about?”


You MUST visit…

You will LOVE…

Even if it is just for 30 mins, you SHOULD drop by…


Now imagine if this is what your clients tell their friends about you even without you asking them to!


"You MUST meet (insert your name)"

"You will LOVE (insert your name)"

“Even if it is just for 30 mins, you should drop by.”


So I did go to the music café that night.


And I must say, the café was super inaccessible.


After alighting on the main road, you still have to walk down a dark alley, make a turn at the small blue sign, pass by at least four locals sleeping on their make shift beds, cross a super dirty foyer, climb up the dark winding stairs before reaching the music café! And guess what, the café was PACKED FULL on a Sunday night.


Why?


Because the café has a STRONG FOLLOWING (i.e. a fan base) And these fans (like my friend) will happily tell all their friends about it because they are in love with the café. This is why the locals will even go the extra mile to visit on a Sunday night.


So don’t believe your prospects and clients when they tell you

they are too busy to meet you or it is too inconvenient to meet you.


If you know how to nurture your prospects and clients, and turn them into your hardcore fans, they will climb mountains and cross rivers just to see you. Even for just 30 minutes.


Translate them into business terms:

More enquiries

More repeated sales

More unsolicited referrals

Higher closing ratio too!


And here’s the best part, you don’t need to have a HUGE SUPER FAN BASE like G-dragon or Taylor Swift.


According to executive editor of Wired magazine, Kevin Kelly, you just need 1000 true fans to be a millionaire.

(FYI: His article “1000 true fans” went viral)


His definition of a ‘true fan’ is someone who buys everything you sell. If each of them spends $1000 with you every year, you will already be a millionaire!


So as you plan for 2020, please make ‘nurturing 1000 true fans’ one of your key strategic goals.
