This is the secret to going viral on social media

It all started when I studied my top posts across all social media platforms.
Different platforms.
Different type of content.
Different audience.
But they all went viral.
Upon closer look, I realise why.
Every post made you FEEL something.
Inspired.
Happy.
Sad.
Angry.
Surprised.
I wasn’t trying to teach, preach or sell.
All I “accidentally” did was making you feel an emotion.
And that was why that post went viral.
Jay Shetty with 7.3 million followers on Instagram confirmed this discovery.
He recently shared that out of 777 million posts on Facebook,
the top 50 all shared one commonality.
They were positive, uplifting and empowering.
When ranked, these are the five types of content that
consistently do well on Facebook and even other platforms.
1. Adventures
2. Comedy and humour
3. Emotional news
4. Inspiration and motivation
5. Surprise
See the similarity?
They all convey an emotion.
So here’s your takeaway.
The next time you create a piece of content, first ask yourself:
“How do I want to make my audience FEEL?”
With that emotion in mind, create your content.
It will have a much higher chance of doing well on social media!
